Hosted an Ainu and Okinawan Music and Cultural Exchange Event

Ayumi Sakuraba hosted a music and cultural exchange event in Naha together with Ryoko Suzusappuno, a cultural bearer of Ainu traditions with whom she had previously performed in the stage production Voices of Kyoto in Kyoto.

Through Ainu sacred songs, lullabies, dances, and other traditional forms of expression, the event offered an opportunity to experience and learn about Ainu culture.

The two artists also performed Ainu and Okinawan songs centered around shared themes and engaged in a dialogue about their respective cultures and musical traditions, creating a meaningful space for cultural exchange.

The proceeds from the event were donated as relief funds to support those affected by the earthquake in Taiwan.
